Just 25-35 seconds is the average amount of time people spend brushing their teeth. Most people know, we dentists recommend, you should be brushing twice a day for two minutes, however it’s a lot longer than it seems. We would recommend using a brush with a built in two-minute timer, the stopwatch on your phone or even a sand timer.
You should split your mouth into four areas; top right, top left, bottom left and bottom right. Most electric toothbrushes buzz after thirty seconds, that should be your cue to move onto the next area of your mouth. Spend thirty seconds on each of the four areas. We recommend you start on the top right and finish on the bottom right. Choose a routine and stick with it.
